Can't open projects!

Hello I'm having a problem with Premiere. Every time I go to open a project, the application will load fine and everything, but then I go and click on the application and I get the rainbow wheel of death. Everytime. The only time it doesn't do this is when I open up autosaves. Can anyone provide some help please? Has anyone else encountered this?
