Can't Select Anything - Buggy

Premiere Pro 2021 - Can't select any drop downs in my effects. 

Sometimes I can only select things only AFTER I save and I have to constantly do that per change.

Also I can't see where my files will end up when I select and move them around - as in no preview of where they'll land so I'm merely guessing where they'll end up if I slide it left or right.

If you have nested clips in the timeline delete the audio: see how that goes.
