Can't zoom into Images

I can slow zoom into video tracks, but I can't seem to do so with images. 

When it gets to the keyframe it jumps to the zoom I set it at as opposed to slowly zooming in during the time in between the two keyframes. 

What is the solution here? Is there something wrong with the project setting, image format...?

Any help would be appreciated

Try nesting the image and zooming in to the nest.
