Canon 1DX MK3 Footage Crashes Premiere and Causes Kernel Panic

Just a note to anyone who cares, or may run across this. I would highly dissuade anyone from using the Canon 1DX MK3 4K footage or any LOG footage in Premiere Pro. It crashes the software and literally causes Max OS X to restart. It's an annoying bug and has me using Resolve for a reliable solution. Really disheartening.

Has anyone had any luck fixing this issue? I am working with the Canon 1DX iii log footage. When i import into premier, it instantly crashes premier and my computer.

It's the H265 codec. Premiere just can't use it without crashing. Forced me to switch to Resolve. Haven't looked back. Really a shame as Pr was my go to NLE, but got tired of the constant crashing, bugs, and headaches. I think the workaround however is to use Media Encoder and make proxies before you do any editing.
