I am trying to transer my license of adobe Premiere CC2018 to a new computer. However; the creative cloud on my new computer is being read as a free account and isnt letting me reinstall it without perchasing an entirly new license for Premiere CC 2020. I am currently still being charged for my functional CC 2018 license on my old computer. Is this an issue caused by the creation of CC 2020 or do i need to find some other method of installation?

MQQ,

Sorry, this version cannot be installed onto a new computer as this is an older version of our software that is no longer available. You can install CC 2019 or CC 2020 to the newer computer. Hope that is OK.

Thanks,
Kevin

ok thats progress at least. does that mean I need to close my current license and open a new one? and follow up: will project files I bring over work with the newest versions?

no and yes.  If you're subscription is active, you should be fine.  and your projects should open in newer versions of teh app but you'll be told you need to do a save as to create a project in the newer version.
