Captions from Previous Versions! Help PLEASE!

Hello.  I recently got a new Mac Pro and updated to the latest PPro.   I have hours of captioned videos that were done in a previous version - and when I open them (and convert) in the newest version, those caption tracks are nowhere to be found.  Aack!  Please help!  I know Adobe changed the whole captioning system, but what about ones created in older versions that need to be updated in the latest?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

I'm Win 10, but I believe the expected behavior for Mac and PC is for the old caption tracks to be converted and appear in the updated project.

Are you importing a video with captions (embedded or burned in) or an old PR project with captions on a track?

Thanks for your response.  An old PR project with captions on a track.  That track no longer appears.  Sigh.

Was the old track based on an imported file, such as srt? Or new captions created in PR?

So far, my tests of importing old project, they come in ok.
