Captions not visible when video plays or in preview (Premiere Pro 14.9 and earlier)

My captions are visible on my timeline and are enabled.  They are set to  CEA-708 and Service 1. They do not show on the clips in preview or when playing.  Please help!

Hi Pippa Sibbald,

Sorry to hear about this. We can get this checked. Please check that the Closed Captions Display Settings is set to CEA-708/Service 1.

- Click the wrench icon on the Program Monitor > Closed Captions Display >  Enable

- Click the wrench icon on the Program Monitor > Closed Captions Display > Settings

- Set Standard to CEA-708 and Stream to Service 1.
