It's the 3rd time in the same week I've been working on a different project and all of a sudden Premiere crashes, other than that it's still the beginning of a project I only have 3 layers of video and audio in the timeline
And that's not nearly enough information for any of us to help.
What's the hardware ... your OS/CPU/RAM/GPU, which driver for the GPU, what's the media storage type/connection, what's the media and created by what, and what effects have you used.
That would be enough for us to do something past say suggesting you dump your cache files ... which would be the first thing to do after a crash anyway.
