I have downloaded a Facebook video on mp4 format and it plays ok on windows media player but when I import it to Premiere it's like the 30-min video has been compressed to 4-min and runs too fast.

I didn't want to tell you at the beginning because you may lose interest but I am using PP CS.5

However, if you can give me an idea of what's happening and how to solve it I will be grateful.

Thank you guys,

it may be because the clip is variable frame rate.  Use media info to determine this

https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download

If it is, use handbrake to convert to a constant frame rate

https://handbrake.fr

and here's a tutorial on how to use handbrake
