Diacritic Character Support in Adobe Premiere

Hi all,

I have been having issues with having diacritics appaear in text placed in with the Essential Graphics menu. We're working with special characters in Indigenous language content and certain characters with diacritics or superscript will appear in the Essential Graphics layer list, but not in the Program window. We have had to work around this issue by manually aligning diacritics in groups above the correct letter, or going through a more cumbersome route of building out plates in Illustrator for text.

Are there any other options available for special characters and glyphs like these?

What is the language and what font are you using? It might be that the font doesn't support that character with the diacritic. It might be worth verifying this in "Character map" on Windows or "Font Book" on OSX. 

In 'Preferences>Graphics' ... what text engine are you using? Try the other one.
