we’ve had issues exporting video files or where our Adobe premiere pro will crash. It’s almost as if it can’t handle the workload. We intentionally close out of other programs to allow videos to export but we still have issues with crashing or having incomplete exports. To be fair, we are using higher quality footage now so the file sizes we’re working with are larger. Some of the error messages we get says it is a “GPU render error” or “disk space full.”

Make sure your disks have adequate room: data should not exceed 75%.
Also make sure they are ntfs formatted.

One thing causing the "GPU render error" can be if several heavy effects like Warp, time-ramps & Lumetri are applied all on the same clip numerous time in a sequence. With frame-size changes to boot.
If so, it's best to do some of the effects, nest a clip, then apply others. Or if Warp is involved, do a complete render & replace to new 'digital intermediate' codec like Cineform, DNxHD/R, or ProRes in a 'flavor' with enough data-rate to completely match your needs.
That way, Premiere does the Warp to the r&r clip, and it's done with it. Saves effort & time in the export. Especially if you export to the same format as the r&r settings ... but only if those are to one of those three intraframe codecs.
