Drag Clip to timeline-Source patching not an issue.

So as you have probably guessed i cant drag a video clip to my timeline that already has items in it. All the advice states my source patch for video needs highlighting. But its already highlighted. 

All i see is a downward pointing blue arrow and no sign of my clip being dragged to the timeline.
