Drag Timeline Selection Highlighting Not Working properly

This is newly occurring since the 14 update I believe.

When dragging to select clips in the timeline, it does not work properly. It's hard to describe what I mean, so here are two photos of what is occurring. Notice what happens when I try to select the second audio clip.

It used to work where anything the white box touched would be selected. Now, it's choosing not to select things seemingly at random and is extremely infuriating.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Try resetting the preferences:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

Sorry doobysquish,

I believe this is a bug in 14.7. You can check out the beta. I think the fix can be previewed there. Let us know if you need help with that.

Thanks,
Kevin
