Drift with same frame rate

Hey there- I am editing a event video from multiple cameras. All were recording in 29.97 frame rate (which is also confirmed in the properties tab of premiere) and editing in a 29.97 rate sequence. I'm doing a manual multicam sequence. However, when placing footage on top of others the footage is drifting out of sync. Anyone know a reason why/fix? Thank you.

Zoom in close to make sure that you have it properly synced.

If that's not it:

Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:

If that doesn't work,try resetting the preferences:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. If NVIDIA, do a clean install of the latest Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver)

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

How much time is involved for how much drift?

Unless you had the cameras jam-synced, it is pretty common for say an hour long set of recordings to drift apart. Far less noticeable if say 20 minutes or under. For those who don't know the jargon, "jam-syncing" is where you feed typically an audio channel signal from a sync device to each camera ... and that audio signal is the sync for the cameras in the project.

It's about 1 second of drift every four minutes or so

How many cams? How long a show? Do you have a separate audio recording also? Those can at times be more accurate time-wise than cameras. As far as something to sync everything to.
