I made a Ken Burns effect on a still image but when I applied a drop shadow, the scale and position goes haywire.
Should not do that but nest then add the drop shadow to the nest.

Thanks. It worked. I didn't realize I would have to nest a single layer.

Nesting essentially applies a "stop" point on internal processing. It applies all processing requested before the nest to completion, then adds whatever effects and controls are applied after the nest.
Which keeps a lot of effects "straight" and from conflicting with each other. So ... it's very useful say if you're going to apply time-warp and color. Do one, nest, do the other. That sort of thing.
