Error while trying to speed up video

I'm trying to speed up my footage, but everytime I go above 200% I get the following error:
"[DATE] [CURRENT TIME] Error retrieving frame -16,###,### at time [TIME IN ORIGINAL FILE] from the file [PATH], substituting frame 0"
# = placeholder for a number

This only occurs during previewing, when I'm actually rendering the project it works like it should.
Lowering the playback resolution does not help.

Anyone having a solution to this?
