Essential graphics previews

Is there any way to preview the animation of the various motion graphics templates in the Essential Graphics panel? No way to know what the templates contains and/or does.

Remember this EGP is in its infancy ... it's not a finished tool, probably will always be expanded, realistically.

So ... feature request away, as they've actually had design engineers on this forum (very rare) asking for the requests for this ...

There are a few new things they discussed in the "rollout" demo at IBC a few weeks back, so some things will change whenever the drop the next release. Don't know the full list.

Hi David,

There are a couple of things you can try. One is to hover and scrub over the graphic icon in the Essential Graphics panel. Another is to click the "i" icon and open the graphic in its own panel. Click on the graphic and press the Space bar. It will play the graphic back if your system is powerful enough. Does that work for you?

Quick previews of AeMoGRTs in PPro, assuming you are talking about AeMoGRTs, requires the MoGRT Developer to create/render the preview and to then link the Preview to the MoGRT file. At this point in time, the EGP in both PPro and AE do not support previews created in this manner, or any previews created and linked to a MoGRT. Additionally, you will have to use a third party tool such as AepToMoGRT (from aeScripts)

to create and then link/embed the Preview File with the MoGRT. Lastly, since the EGP does not support such previews, you will have to use AeViewer https://aescripts.com/aeviewer/ 
to view the preview. On the PLUS side, AeViewer provides lots of features such as organizing MoGRT in Folders, in the OS.
