When I export in h.264, my audio is going out of sync with the film files, despite being fine in the edit in premiere. This film is one hour long and the problem seems to get worse over time. Please help! Gig in 3 days time! Thanks

Export to a more robust file format tham .mp4 first. Mac - make your export a ProRes file. PC - make a MXF DNx.
This will create a MASTER file of you whole edit (big file).
Then once this is created and checked for errors inc. sync, render the master file to your chosen delivery format.
Even though this is creating and rendering twice, you should find the whole process is faster than direct to mp4.
The amount of work edit workstations have to do to go direct to mp4 is a real bottleneck.
