Turning over a feature to VFX and need to create a reference video with text overlay that includes original file name and marker info which includes a ref number for each VFX to be created.

Can I export a video with program monitor overlays I've set up?

I hope to god there's an easier way to accomplish this without creating a timeline text overlay for each shot.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Have you tried the built in overlay settting panel? That would allow for all this ... there's quite a few options there. That's a sequence-wide thing, and each clip should have its appropriate data.

I must be doing something wrong. I can see the overlays in the program monitor, but they are not on the video export.

Oh, Oops!

One leetle detail ... in the Export dialog, go to the Effects tab, and scroll down to the Overlay options.

I see Name Overlay, which only brings up the sequence name and timecode overlay, which is good. I see no option to export an overlay which shows original file name of clips or marker info. Have I lost my mind?
