I need to export a project I have as an MOV. I'm on a windows 10 computer using Adobe Premier 2019. It's a trial version.

Here is what they're asking for

Video format options (all in .MOV container)
- Apple Pro Res 422 (HQ)

- Apple Pro Res 422
- Apple Pro Res 422 (LT)

- Apple Pro Res 4444
- Avid DNxHD
- uncompressed 8 or 10 bit- H.264

I can't for the life of me figure out how to export with these settings

Please help!!!

Use QuickTime for the Format.

Then in Preset choose any of those.

download and install the free quicktime player for windows. It's old and no longer supported, but it installs the mov wrapper.

You need to also download avid codec stuff if you haven't already...

(that gives you the DNxHD stuff )

files to get.png

good luck !

P.S.

PC cannot export pro res... unless things changed very recently, apple and Microsoft are competing companies and apple doesn't let Microsoft products ( OS ) export pro res.

You can READ IT, but you can't write it.

I do not have QT so I do not know how this is done, but I did read a message that the QT player is the problem, so if you select an option during QT install to install ONLY the codecs, and not the player, you won't have security problems

No clue what help you need.

See the screen-grab above ... when you set QuickTime as your format, does ProRes show up in your list of codecs?

File over on their UserVoice site in detail ... your computer specs, and what you've done and what's happening.

This site is primarily user-to-user peer support, that site gets to the developers. They may or may not respond, but it at least gives them the data points on who/what is having trouble.

Wow, Jim, I didn't hear that !  I don't actually USE the player, but will look into the issue.

I'm a little confused. It used to be that you couldn't get the codecs without downloading them. Does PPro now include the codecs for QuickTime and Avid automatically ??

Premiere Pro has for years now not needed the codecs or player to be installed separately.  It includes a set of QuickTime libraries to make things work.

DNxHD is included when installing, but only if you want to use it in the MXF container.

TS needed it in a MOV container, so for that one need to download the codec from Avid. Installing QT Player is not necessary.
