Failing to export and locking up

I have been trying for over 12 hours now to export a video, the encoding bar pops up and then gets stuck at 0-1% estiated time usually about 1 hour ajd 44 mins but can vary. hitting cancle locks the entire app and closing in task manager means I cannot reopen Prem and have to restart my system.

Exporting at; h.265, match source high bitrate, use maximum render quality (have tried others too with no luck)

19-10900k

32gb ram

windows 10 pro

GeForce GTX 1070

all drivers and software up to date.

If you have an Nvidia card, change your driver, probably rolling back to an earlier Studio driver version. The latest Nvidia driver and perhaps especially on the Game driver group is a potential cause here.

Also of course with potential graphics issues, you can check by changing the Mercury Acceleration option in the Project dialog settings to Software only. If that fixes the problem, it's a GPU issue.
