Flashes missing frame after rendering

Mystifying, after I render my sequence and play it back , it will show the odd frame as missing.

If I drag the tracks to a track above everything plays fine.

Any idea why this is happening?

Try clearing your media cache.

Is the footage a fixed or variable frame rate? If it is variable you may want to convert it to fixed frame rate through the app Handbrake.
