Simply deleting a clip from the timeline causes Premiere to freeze. Has happened several times in a row. Both Windows and Premiere are up to date. I saw another reference to this from a year ago but with no real answer.
My system:
Latest Premiere Pro
Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10900K CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHz
If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces: Reset a workspace Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels. 1. If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. If NVIDIA, do a clean install of the latest Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver).
If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.
I guess this fixed it as it hasn't happened again since I tried these. However, it did freeze on me while working with a project (I am not sure what the action was immediately before freezing). I'm very uneasy about stability and am trying to save frequently (auto save simply does not work). I have also noticed that Premiere takes a very long time to start/load. Probably related, but I don't know what to do about it.
