Frustrating change in playback behaviour with "render in to out" - 2020

In previous versions of Premiere, after rendering in to out, the sequence would auto playback the rendered segment from the in point and stop at the outpoint allowing you to quickly see the results of your render.

I have noticed since upgrading to 2020 that now, whenever I render in to out,  Premiere autoplays from the very beginning of the timeline, regrdless of where the in and out points are placed.

It's immensely annoying, particularly as I'm currently working on a long sequence with heavy use of effects towards the end. Every time I need to tweak an effect and then render it to see the result (which is often!), the timeline plays back form the start and I have to stop it, zoom out, relocate the play head to the correct position at the end of the sequence, zoom in, locate the specific point I want to view and begin playback again.

Has anybody else noticed this, or is it just me?  I'm assuming it's a bug, it's too counter intuitive to be intentional surely, but I can't find any mention of it on UserVoice so thought I'd ask here before I post a bug report. Is there a new setting I'm missing or something?

Thanks

Hi, I just figured it out! Go to Preferences - Timeline and uncheck "Play after rendering previews"
