glitchy video during editing

Hello!

I am working in Adobe Pr 11.1 on Mac OS X.

I am having a "Media Rendering" screen for much much longer than expected on multiple clips, and when I play back my timeline during editing, I am consistently getting a black screen while the audio continues or the video display will stay on an earlier frame while the audio continues.

The HD has some space on it so that's not the issue.

Any feedback would be much appreciated, as I'm trying to finish an overdue project today.

Are you sure it says "Media Rendering" and not "Media Pending"? If it says Media Pending, you might have to try purging your Media Cache if it never seems to go away. What sort of media is it happening on? To purge the media cache, and understand how it can help you in the future, check out this  in depth article I wrote on it a while back!

Thank you for this.

I am not seeing "Media Pending" today (I haven't opened Pr in a few days) but I am still having the playback issue in my timeline.

I just emptied my media cache, but no luck.

When I press play on my timeline, audio plays back fine, but the video stays stuck on the second clip in the sequence.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer's site.
