Hi all. Need some help. Just installed the GTX 1660 video card to my machine. With the latest driver installed from NVidia website (July 2020 release). Premiere opened still without CUDA support. Any suggestion besides go into cuda support text file and add it in?

That text file does not work any more on any newer versions of Premiere Pro. Only CS5, CS5.5, CS6 and the first (2013) version of Premiere Pro CC used it at all. Since CC 2014, the text file does absolutely nothing. Instead, Premiere Pro should have detected the GPU, then enabled the CUDA mode if the driver version is valid and the GPU isn't legacy or obsolete.

Well. Latest driver and all and it didn't get detected. And yes, modifying the text did work. I tried on premiere cc2020.

I'm hoping to troubleshoot why premiere didn't detect the card.

In your case, then your Premiere Pro installation somehow went wrong. And depending on the age of your PC, you might simply have repeatedly installed newer versions on top of older versions, which do not properly uninstall all traces of old configs or files.
