I'd like to mark a history state in the panel in case I want to toggle back and forth from an earlier state easily.

I also would like to SAVE a history state in case a way down edit sequence is no good and I want to go back.

Did not see anything about state snapshots in help files.

Thanks anyone !

I make incrementally numbered saves frequently, especially after an important edit, so that I can go back to an earlier state:

Project Name v1, Project Name v2, etc.

I also duplicate sequences to make versions also:

Sequence Name copy1, Sequence Name copy2, etc.

You can use "Save a Copy..." it will save your project exactly as it is and let you keep working with the one you have loaded.

If it's just a sequence state I want to preserve (not the entire project), I'll duplicate and clearly number the sequence in the Project panel (like by dragging a sequence to the New Item icon). That way, the Project panel (or a bin in it) can list multiple versions of a sequence.
