How do I copy & paste an audio & video clip from one sequence into another?

This has been covered here before, and it did not work for me.

I want to copy part of the video & audio from one timeline (sequence), and paste it into the middle of another sequence.

Up till now, I've pasted it to the end of the second timeline and then used "Insert" to paste it where I wanted.

How do I simply paste it directly where I want it the first time, without having to do these multiple steps?

Open source sequence in the souce monitor.

Mark in to out.

Source patch main timeline. Park playhead. Insert/overwrite

I just found "Paste Insert" in the Edit menu -- this does the trick, too.
