Hi,

I want my captions to fade out under my end screen as I always have done before but there doesn't appear to be an option for changing the position of the captions layer as there has been before in the new 2021 update? My end screen fades on, so should just cover the wording rather than having it hard end.

There were many problems with the old caption workflow, and many advantages to the new. But there are also gotchas, that for some users, will be deal breakers.

No, the new caption streams are their own layer type, and locked at the top. One of the main disadvantages of this method is that the caption stream is no longer a video layer and is not subject to the Effect Controls panel.

A workaround is to make the last caption regular graphics text and fade that.

In the new workflow, this would be a new feature. I don't see one for this yet:
