Hi all! Self-taught premiere pro user here. Im happy to look this up but not sure of the search terms.

 

tryng to find a way to scrawl across a slide as it's playing. is this an animation? Im not even sure what it would be called? thanks so much in advance!

yes thank you! I saw that, and wasnt sure if i would be able to put the text on an existing slide. and am still looking for a way to scrawl across the pic with a crayon or marker effect. but first things first

 

i really appreciate your help!

You can "Import" the AE comp into PP. Just select Import into the project, choose the AE project and it will show you the compositions in there, pick the one and in it comes. When you put it on the timeline, you can have it open in AE and make changes and see them update. This is the 'DynamicLinking' in PP/AE.
