While working on a project, I had forgotten that the playback quality was set to 1/2 and when I exported it I was surprised with the outcome. Is there a way I can export the video as it looks exactly in the program window with lower quality? I like it more as it actually helps with the vibe I'm going for with the video.

You will have rendering options to pick the resolution, aspect ratio and frame rate. The video might be helpful at two minutes in.

In the export render settings, under the video tab uncheck match video size, in the width numeric field put /2 at the end (divide by 2), this way you will have a rendered movie that is the 1/2 of the original resolution

You have a number options, which will be available in Export dialogue box:
- change the format/codec
- choose lower resolution, i.e. export FullHD video as StandardHD res (720p)
- reduce Target Bitrate for video

If the Preview codec is set to I frame only Mpeg export with Match Sequence Settings. This will produce a movie file with a lesser codec.
