Hi,

I am receiving "the project appears to be damaged, it can not be opened" for my recent small project.

I've been using premiere for years and this is the first time I am facing such a thing.

(I've updated my macOS Catalina to 10.15.6 recently. May this be a reason!?)

I've tried;

i- recovering from auto saved files

ii. creating a new project and importing the corrupted file

all failed. I appreciate any suggestions.

Regards

Hi chomolongma,

The file could be damaged for a number of reasons

Open the most recent autosave file. By default, this folder is saved in the same location as your project file.

Good luck

As I've mentioned in may message ("i- recovering from auto saved files") I've already did this. Not worked

Thank you for the detailed links

I've already done all of them (except disc corruption test. now checked disc is running well)

By the way, all other projects are working fine my trouble is only with this specific file.

Hi,

Finally I managed to open the damaged project.

I will note what I did for those who will encounter the same problem.

I've opened the project in a different computer having premiere. (I don't know whether it has an effect but my computer is  macOS Catalina10.15.6, the new computer is a windows one)

Project opened without any problem. I've saved it with a different name and put it back to my macOS system. Opened there as well.

Problem solved for me. Thank you for kind suggestions.
