I can see the peak of the sound but no sound comes out of the speaker ....

Hey, 

new version of Premiere Pro on a macbook pro 2019 latest macos 

I have checked the prefs. 

Everything is correct selected , but no sound comes out of the internal speaker. 

Does anybody had this behaviour ever ? 

If I launch AE I can here the sound correctly. 

Quicktime no problem. 

What can this be? any timeline setting that I can´t remember ? 

I am testing now for a complete day and I don´t have a clue what it could be ....

Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:

If that doesn't work,try resetting the preferences:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

this worked. 

this is a scary error. feels like to get numb .... 

I was shure that I had done that before. but following your instructions helped.

(alt start premiere) 

I also had made an update in case something with the older version went wrong.
