I can't drag clips into the timeline

Now this has happened to me too...

The fist gets a stop sign over it. 

I read about the problem and I ran this:

It didn't help...

I should never have updated the program. Is there a way to backdate?

Almost always this is from not having the Source and Track targets set correctly. See the image I add.

Another possibility is the active tracks are 'locked', check the little padlock icon to check that.

(I can't believe I didn't see it... I just never heard of source patching before.)

It is SO easy to flip those ... or the Global Fx Mute ... and suddenly be wondering what the HAY is going on. Been there done that and felt so silly afterwards.

Sometimes the simplest thing works like moving your whole project closer to main drive. Avoid long path to your files
