I'm have a problem with Premiere Pro with my Capture Device Offline

It started last week and I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do.

What's the device you are capturing from? Is it properly connected and set up?

I don't truly know, I want to capture to my computer I guess?

Do you have a dv or hdv camera atteched to your computer via firewire.

If not the Capture window is of no use to you.

If you are trying to capture your screen as in screenrecording Premiere is unable to do that.

No I don't I want to be able to preview my video.

I'm meaning that my capture was working without the camera attached, and I can see the video to preview it.

You cannot have a preview in the capture window without a camera or something simular attached.

Which hardware are you using as capture device.

Take a video capture of your screen but from the moment you connect your device to see if you are setting well based on the device you are connecting and that we also need to know the model and brand, you must also tell us which port you are connecting to (USB, USB-C, FireWire, Thunderbolt, HDMI, etc.).
