Any images I import into Premiere Pro show as black boxes and when double clicked on show as black boxes in the Preview Panel. Any image type, any image size, any color mode.
They will show correctly in the Library.
They cannot be placed on the timeline under any circumstance.
This just started happening today. Have gone through all of the normal steps. Restart computer, uninstalled Premier Pro and reinstalled, cleared media caches, etc. . .

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.
If that doessn't work, try resaving the images in Photoshop.
