Imported mp3 audio file shows no waveform in PProCC20

when imported audio file in mp3 shows no waveform on the timeline of PPCC20, then the file may be transcoded with variable bitrate. After transcoding this file once more, but with constant bitrate, after importing it, PPCC20 shows the waveform as expected.

It would be better to convert mp3 to wav before importing into Premiere Pro.
