I have R3D footage. I can import into the Project Window. I used the Media Browser and "Red" is selected. But no audio when playing back in the Source Monitor.

False Alarm!! The client tells me the video was shot without audio because we will be putting music over top of everything. I spent half a day troubleshooting why the audio didn't load/play. Thanks client!

Glad that got straightened out! As for R3D import, I don't import into Project panel, I just open a bin ready for it, and then move over to use Media Browser-- because that seems to have the smarts to ingest and stitch together any additional 4GB segments for each shot, which is RED's standard recording scheme.

"Import" command is available in both Project and Media Browser panels. First time out I tried ingesting directly into Projact panel. All I got were duplicates of the first segment!

Media Browser's Import however will trigger Media Encoder, which does the actual ingest and stitching, and then deposits the batch into whatever bin is open in the Project panel.

Best as always,
Loren
