I’m having an issue with Premiere Pro 15.2. Imported video from iPhone XR is not recognized on an inconsistent basis. For example, I imported video into Premeire and it plays the audio correctly, but the video is highly pixelated and glitchy. So I start an new project and import the same videos the next day and they play back perfectly. So I begin editing the project I’m working on and make some progress. I then save the project. I sit down the next day and load the project and now the videos are playing like they did the first time I tried. They are all pixelated. AI close the project, wait an hour,  and try reloading the project. Now half of the videos play correctly and half are pixelated. Please help!

Hi there,

We're sorry about the poor experience. Please share a screenshot of the pixelated preview that you are getting in Premiere Pro. Have you tried switching the Renderer to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only & checked if it's restoring the preview?

Thanks,

Sumeet

You may want to take your footage into the free app Handbrake and convert it to a fixed frame rate and see if it helps.

Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Hand brake to convert to constant frame rate:
