Is it possible to bypass the make subclip dialog box while making subclips from a master clip loaded in the source monitor. I just want to fly through big clips marking an in and out on via keyboard, hitting a make sublcip hot key and then have the subclip wind up in the active bin without a dialog box stopping the action. This way I can fly through big interview and broll clips. This is how Avid Media Composer works, and it is fast.

Boom. Boom. Boom. On to the next one.

The make subclip dialog box is a giant stop down. No need for it in my workflow.

Many clips do not need to be renamed. And those that do I can do later. Let me make the clips fast.

Any ideas on bypassing the make sublcip dialog box?

Thanks

Chris

Many mice and other controllers let you set up a macro softkey. Set one up for your subclip shortcut, and then the enter key.

I have a contour shuttle and have most of the function keys setup like this.
