Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Edge, all support WebP.

But then again, they ALSO support WebM, and that isn't supported in anything Adobe.

Unfortunatly Adobe products aren't for people who are targeting modern internet connected devices.

Maybe try Kdenlive or DaVinchi Resolve if you want to utilize modern web formats in your work.
