Issue with editting video footage coming out of canon camera

Hi guys,

Hoping someone would be able to trouble shoot this. I'm trying to edit videos out of my canon 80d files. Whenever I try to make any sorts of adjustments be it temperature of exposure the video glitches out. Hoping someone can help me with this 😞
