I've received a few video clips from a reporter, to use as footage for a story promo.
These are not raw video files, they are exported clips from Edius (60 FPS. MP4)
They play fine on my desktop, but when I bring them to premiere, the video is sped up while the audio plays normally.
But the clip is also cut in half. The original video is :53 seconds, and changes to :26 seconds once brought into premiere.
All this occurs in the source monitor, even before being brought onto the timeline.
NOTE: I've already tried my audio hardware and changing mic input to none.

I'd be those are VFR ... variable frame rate clips. Premiere sometimes works with some VFR files, but with others it goes wonky like this.

Convert them to CFR using the free utility app HandBrake making sure that in that app's Video tab, you both click the CFR circle and give a specific number frame rate for the file.

Import those into Premiere.

I'm a practical guy when I'm not dreaming. Work has to get out the door, right? Or the bills don't get paid. What works at this moment to get stuff out is the practical side of Life.

And it's always good to get someone working again.
