setting and animating scale / position just worked fine

all of a sudden jpgs / pngs (right now) in a project I have been working for months will not animate.

everything is set properly. the effects are in the timeline, in and out points set.

but the scaling for instance is frozen at the END position (even though the counting shows a start position)

tried many of the tips - resetting preferences, rendering et al. also project prefs chosen the right rendering machine

With the project closed, go to the Edit/Preferences menu, Cache files, and delete everything. Then re-open the project, see if it works. If not, then Trash Preferences.

Thanks - I already did that (was in some other threads).

It's a pain. Of course I will redo it if it might help this time?

"just worked fine"

Did I miss it? Everything but the PP version. And if you've upgraded during the 'just worked fine' period.

PP version 14.3.1 build 45

I update when cc proposes new versions. Seems I should be slower with that?

Some think so. I usually upgrade in the first week. Take a quick look at the theads, make sure there is nothing I need to know about first. The main thing is your own rig. Keep it pristine, don't let things get installed and running in the background all the time. Remove things that are, etc... then PP is usually no issue.
