After updating to Premier Pro v 14.5, keyboard commands (such as shift - arrow to advance 5 frames) don't work inside the Effect Control panel They do work in my project timeline, just not in the panel.

Any solution?

This is a bug introduced in 14.5 with floating panels. This is the workaround:

  1. Arrange the panels as you like
  2. Save your custom workspace
  3. Restart Premiere

Now, whenever you launch Premiere:
Close your floating panels, select workspace > Reset to saved layout (alt + shift  + 0)
This way your floating panels will always work as it should
