Hello--Is it possible to create a keyboard shortcut for the audio transition "Exponential Fade"? When I type the latter phrase into the Keyboard Shortcuts search box--where custom shortcuts are made--"Exponential Fade" doesn't seem to be an option. Can someone tell me please if there's a way to create such a shortcut? Thanks for any advice on this!

First, you can set one audio and one video transition to be the 'default' transition. That is applied typically with Shift-D. Just right-click the transition in the Effects panel, and select "Default Transition".

You can go into the keyboard shortcuts dialog (Ctrl/Cmd-Alt-K), type "default tra " in the search box, and see both the default transition key-short and several for applying transitions to a timeline.

Go into the effect control panel and twirl open audio transitions. Right click on exponential fade to set as default. Then  when your playhead is on an edit point or clips are selected type shiftcontrol D on Windows or Shift Command D on Mac.

if you make it the default audio transition, then there's a shortcut for that (I think).  Otherwise, I don't think so.
