Hi there,
I am working on a documentary, 4k footage and currently around 8TB of material. Up until recently, everything was running smoothly until:
- The project would load but the material, once loaded could not be viewed. The timeline would not play.
- The computer would stutter when trying to open finder or use premiere and then eventually shut down as if fused.
- I have updated my RAM so the spec for my computer is:
macOS Catalina
Retina 5k, 27 inch, 2020
3.6Ghz 10 core intel i9
40GB memory
Additionalluy, I have bought a new Lacie drive as I thought it could be the Lacie 16TB Big dock. However this is has not solved the problem.
I have done a couple of things:
1. Created a new project and imported the older one in. It worked for a while until is started to crash. again.
2. I unlinked and relinked everything. This again worked for a while before the computer started to crash. Again and again.
