media encoder shows "media offline" renders audio only - render OK in Premiere

I have a project making some edits in a single video file. If I try to render from ME I get the red "media offline" slide, but audio renders OK. If I render from within Premiere the video renders correctly. I have tried running with "Import sequences natively" checked and unchecked - no difference. Any ideas?

Moving them to a new location did work - very odd. I wonder what the bug is that cures.

Thanks!

It may be that the AME and Pr think the source file(s) are in different locations.  Mac?  Windows?  Network drive? External drive?

I've had this happen a couple times.  Step 2i solved it for me.

It forces Premiere Pro to see the files as new and different, so any oddities with the "old" files just go away.
