Mercalli V4 plug-in problems

I just upgraded my PPro CC 2017 from Mercalli V2 plug-in to the new V4

Most of the controls & concepts are familiar from using V1 and V2 for years.

However, when I apply a crossfade transition between a stabilized clip and any other clip I am getting an error I never encountered in earlier versions:

Mercalli V4 will only stabilize the part of the clip that starts (or ends) at the clip junction- it will not apply the effect to the part of the clip that overlies the adjacent clip in the crossfade.

As a result, there is a sudden jerk "zoom" effect as the playhead moves across the crossfade.

This occurs no matter if I apply the crossfade before, or after stabilization with Mercalli V4

Does anyone else have similar problems??
