I am working with a client that sent me a MOGRT folder with 5 elements. My issue is when uploading into essential graphics template, the font style diverts to the default font. I get the orange TYPE icon within the upload title, indicating unresolvable font.
These are the fonts that will not import.
<Gotham-MediumItalic.otf>
<Gotham-Medium.otf>
<UniversLTStd-LightUltraCn.otf>
Does anyone know a solution? I am working on the lastest Premiere CC version, and this issue also happens on my PC windows version of P CC.
Thank you for any input.
Dan
Okay as expected, the mogrt creator did not enable font substitution,
so I fixed that for you inside after effects and exported the mogrts
which are now available for font substitution. You will still receive
a message that the fonts used are not resolvable until you buy those
fonts and install them on your system, but at least if you do not want
to buy them, you can now subsitute them with other fonts that you can choose.
here is the link for the new corrected mogrts (i just corrected the one

Fonts are not imported but rather installed into the OS.
Right click on font in explorer > install.
Premiere prefers ttf over otf.

seems like this is an old mogrt before the option of choosing different fonts
was developed for after effects. Or the creator of the mogrt did not click
the option to enable custom font selection from the source text properties
inside the after effects essential graphics panel before exporting the mogrt.
What you can do, if you have after effects, you can open the mogrt in
after effects, enable the custom font selection, export the mogrt and
import it back into premiere pro. if you do not have after effects, so
contact the mogrt creator, if it is from Adobe Stock, if the creator
does not reply, I can help you out if you send me your mogrt file.
and yes, you need to have those fonts that are missing installed...

Carlos,
Fantastic help there! And yea, it's a pain in the tush when mogrt creators don't allow font substitution. There are SO may situations where that will be needed.

yeah Neil! I see that the file was created in April 2020, i really don't remember if by then
the Adobe After Effects team enabled the font substitution option. And yes there are a lot
of mogrt creators who still don't know that this option does exist now! I think it should be
enabled by default in future versions... thanks for your input boss!

So true ... so many mogrt makers don't work with the newest options. They also ... for some reason ... often don't run the 'universalizer' to make sure they'll work across language versions and such. I don't know why ... it's one quick click is all.
Ah well. Gives us something to do here, right? š
